Richard has worked hard on music to become a professional musician. By learning as much as he can about music and the Arts, he has become a super educator!

From the Conservatory of Music at University of the Pacific, Stockton CA.

Richard has continued with private instruction after UOP: Jazz and Contemporary up until 2008-2014, to classical piano private instruction at University of Nevada Reno UNR 2009-2017. He continues to study and practice in order to be a top notch teacher. Richard's piano ability allows him to play some of the most advanced, amazing music on the piano. His vocal ability is able to sing some of the most advanced music in lyric song, as well as the intricacies of jazz at advanced levels.

Richard also studied voice at UOP briefly and continued study after UOP for many years. His vocal skills have reached new heights with huge amounts of public performances, theater shows, opera song recitals, jazz ensemble gigs, lounge music gigs and more.

Richard has performed in over 1500+ performances over the course of his career: professional solo piano recitals, singer, Jazz vocalist with bands, Jazz pianist with singers, accompanying singers in classical music, choirs, instrumental accompaniment, competitions, with all types of musical styles, piano accompaniments for ballet classes, professional ballet performances, audience leading in song as solo singer/cantor at regular weekend services, weddings, receptions, lounge music and more!

Richard has a wide variety of expertise in the Arts! He has traveled all over Europe as a youth and the US. His experiences allowed him to be an audience to theater plays, orchestra performances and cultural entertainment of various countries. He has been to Broadway shows in New York such as Cats, Chorus Line, Annie Get Your Gun, Phantom of the Opera and more. He has been a part of all kinds of productions and performed alongside some of the best professional performers on stage.

Understanding the Art of Motion

Richard has extensive dance training in ballet/modern/jazz. He has also danced ballet in big theater productions such as The Nutcracker (Russian Dancer! and others) over multiple seasons, including other Ballets such as Cinderella, La Fille Mal Garde, local modern dance performances and the like. Richard also studied in gymnastics for several years in his youth and later became coach in gymnastics for about 7 years (beginners up to pre-team level boys and girls). His ability to help students perfect skills and coach with groups is tops!
